Thanks for taking the time to check out PURRsonaliTeas! I figured our first blog post would be the perfect opportunity to tell you all a little bit more about how PURRsonaliTeas came to be!

Before creating PURRsonaliTeas, my significant other and I created BrutaliTeas, which currently offers over 80 loose leaf tea blends inspired by rock/metal music, and horror movies. During the time that we created BrutaliTeas, our beloved pug Griffin fell ill to lymphoma. We did all that we could within our means to try to help him, but we unfortunately lost him to this terrible illness.

We were completely heartbroken, and Griffin's loss affected us both deeply. In an effort to heal our hearts and to always keep his memory alive, BrutaliTeas created Tea for a Cause  to help other pets in need of medical assistance. We continue to fund raise to this day, and it brings us a lot of happiness to help others. In addition to fundraising, I started volunteering with a local rescue group in 2018, called The Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters. Volunteering helped tremendously with healing from the loss of Griffin. I first started off with volunteering to walk dogs at a local animal shelter once a week. I then signed up to foster cats/kittens. I had no idea just how much I would end up enjoying being a foster fur parent. I've had my number of foster fails, but I've also helped care for a number of others on their journey to finding their forever homes.

​While volunteering, I have learned just how much rescues do to help all of the homeless animals out there in the world. I have really gained a great deal of respect for all of those involved in the world of animal rescue.  It's work that's truly done from the kindness and compassion of one's heart. It's never easy and never ending, but it is extremely rewarding.

Since I've become a (totally sane) cat lady during my time in animal rescue and because I love fundraising and helping animals in need, creating something like PURRsonaliTeas just made sense to me. Why not combine two things you love to create something that can bring a little joy into someone's day while also helping local animal rescues? 

It's my hope that you'll enjoy these teas just as much as I have enjoyed creating them. I will continue to add more fun blends as PURRsonaliTeas grows. I'll also continue to add more fun items for the kitties!
